English below! Of je nou mee komt jammen of alleen wilt genieten van de sfeer. Iedereen is welkom bij Poppodium Phoenix! Musici van alle niveaus, genres en leeftijden stappen op ons podium om te experimenteren, te verbinden en vooral te genieten. Ook hebben wij iedere week een nieuwe sessieleider.

De sessieleider deze week: Jefferson

Jefferson is de nieuwe sessieleider van onze Sunday Jamsession! Een bekend gezicht voor velen: je kunt Jefferson kennen van The Voice of Holland, The Talent Scouts of het kinderprogramma Just Like Me van The Walt Disney Company, waar hij in een hoofdrol zijn zangtalenten liet zien.

Als artiest staat Jefferson bekend om zijn eigenzinnige R&B-popgeluid, waarin invloeden van soul, funk, house en rock samenkomen. Zijn single Officer Don’t Let Go behaalde meer dan een half miljoen streams op streamingdiensten en werd gedraaid op NPO Radio 2. Met tours door Nederland en het Verenigd Koninkrijk bracht hij zijn muziek naar een breed publiek. Daarnaast schrijft hij muziek voor andere artiesten, bedrijven, films en series.

Jefferson is een echte multidisciplinaire artiest: zanger, danser, acteur, choreograaf, regisseur, producer en creatief maker. Muziek is voor hem de manier om verbinding te maken met anderen en om de diepte van menselijke emoties te verkennen. Daarom is hij de perfecte sessieleider! Kom langs, spring het podium op en maak je klaar voor een show vol energie, muzikaliteit en spontaniteit.

Hoe doe je mee?

Je kunt jezelf tijdens de jamsessie melden bij de sessieleider die je graag het podium op helpt! Speel jij het liefst een cover of ga je voor een freestyle? De sessieleider brengt je graag in contact met andere muzikanten. Uiteraard mag je een eigen instrument meenemen, maar je kunt ook gebruik maken van ons scala aan instrumenten. Zo hebben wij diverse piano’s, keyboards, microfoons, gitaren, basgitaren, drumstellen, percussie en zelfs een contrabas voor je klaarstaan!

This week’s session leader: Jefferson

Jefferson is the new session leader for our Sunday Jam Session! A familiar face to many: you might know Jefferson from The Voice of Holland, The Talent Scouts, or The Walt Disney Company’s program Just Like Me, where he showcased his singing talents in a leading role.

As an artist, Jefferson is known for his distinctive R&B-pop sound, which blends influences of soul, funk, house and rock. His single "Officer Don’t Let Go" achieved over half a million streams on streaming services and was played on NPO Radio 2. With tours throughout the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, he brought his music to a wide audience. He also writes music for other artists, companies, films and TV series.

Jefferson is a truly multidisciplinary artist: singer, dancer, actor, choreographer, director, producer and creative creator. Music is his way of connecting with others and exploring the depths of human emotion. That’s why he’s the perfect session leader! Come join us, jump on stage, and get ready for a show full of energy, musicality, and spontaneity.

How do you participate?

During the jam session, you can talk to the session leader who will be happy to help you get on stage! Do you prefer to play a cover or will you freestyle? The session leader will get you in touch with other musicians. Of course you can bring your own instrument but you can also use our range of instruments. For example, we have various pianos, keyboards, microphones, guitars, bass guitars, drum kits, percussion and even a double bass ready to be played!
